http://www.netbooknews.com Pleasant surprise at Google I/O to come across a brand new prototype from NVIDIA a Tegra 2 tablet. This was the 2nd NVIDIA prototype tablet that I took a video of, the other was running BackBreakers by Natural Motion. I wasn't allowed to take video of the ports of the tablet, but I can tell you what they were. We are lucky that e grabbed these videos on the first day since they were pulled from the show floor for getting too much press. There are two theories as to why this happened, the first was that Google wanted to focus on phones and didn't want tablets on the show floor so they asked NVIDIA to pull. That was rumor what NVIDIA told me what that they were prototypes and not final products. Either way, controversial devices are always good, anything to pull the attention away from the iPad is something that I can stand behind.

The NVIDIA Tegra 2 Prototype Tablet is an 8.9 inch tablet was running Android 2.1 with its 1Ghz Tegra 2 processor. It was also sporting a webcam & microphone and for connectivity on the left hand side of the device we have audio jacks, docking port connector and a microsd card slot. On the bottom we have some status LEDs for Power, Wifi and a lighting blot, not too sure what the lighting bolt LED was for, charging perhaps, hard to say. Moving around the device to the right we have two USB ports and the PSU all covered up with a silicon flap. On the top because it is Android after all we have back, menu and home we also have what appears to be a SIM card slot though it curiously looked a little bit too thin.
The unit measured around 1cm in thickness, but talking to Andrew Edelsten from NVIDIA he did remind me that it is a protype and there are much thinner & lighter versions behind closed doors.

Oh yeah, Unity, is knows for its ability to run amazing games right in your browser, they say its the future, and well, I have to agree.

  • @msgol1 judgmental bitch lol

  • Wow man it's soo amazing living in the technology world!...Nvidia rocks!

  • My personal number 1 in Grapgics is Nova 2 . It is Sooo awesone...

  • @JargonWithCheeze Apple is the only company that has managed to consistently innovate with any success. The only way Android manages to "innovate" is to copy successful features from Apple.

Do you have a source that Apple was sued for $60k? I couldn't find one.

  • @JargonWithCheeze You don't know how Apple works do you? They rarely invent new technology. They are masters of innovation. They take existing technologies perfect them and then find the best combination to achieve the best user experience. Not that mishmash of technologies that barely work together that phone makers have come up with. As for Apple storing User locations, It's actually just the tower locations for optimum performance. They weren't selling the locations. You were misinformed.

  • @JargonWithCheeze Lol you sure can make a hell of a lot of pointless software with the Android Market place. As long as Apple is there with Steve Jobs at the helm, Android is going to have a VERY tough time making it's strategy work. Heck even without Jobs it's going to be hecka difficult. If it weren't for Google's infiltration of people's privacy I'd feel sorry for Android.

  • @JargonWithCheeze Of course it's growing faster. Spamware and useless applications are typically much easier and faster to program than actual useful applications.

  • @nigel181 Apparently you do...enough to comment lol
