Actually, it's termed a "stage", not a "track", but I DO share your opinion! There were quite a few people NOT far enough away from danger. It's a combination of ignorance, denial, and stupidity on the part of the spectators. Also, the Spectator Marshals do a combination of what they're told and what they think is best for safety. And then many idiots ignore them anyway. I've worked for years as a Marshal and seen people do the dumbest things.
I was at the Maine Winter Rally back in '97, working on a service crew. That was a fun time, a good rally, and the only time that I was ever in Maine.
A lot of people have been putting Ken down, saying that we won't make anything of himself in WRC and won't stand a chance against the other drivers. All I have to say is before running your mouth, let's wait and see what he can do. I realize that the top WRC drivers are very very skilled, but keep in mind that Ken has only been at this since 2005. I'm not saying he's going to take WRC by storm, but I'm sure he'll do decent at least.
if you have heard his interviews you will know that he is terrified of dirt and when the ground gets wet he is a little sissy and in europe most of the time the ground is wet just pointing it out
