@KaiXi333 - C'mon DS9 wasn't even sci-fi - change the scenery and it's Mall cop, small town mayor, space palestinians, money-grubbers and double-agents. Voyager had a sci-fi major theme, but the writing was usually (not always) awful, some of acting was terrible. Sadly STE had a good major plot, and good cast, but got simplistic - space-nazi/subterfuge junk. No Harlan Ellison there.

Respectfully disagree that it was "several notches" above DS9 and Voyager. I'd say it was several below!

it's from ST: Legacy

Pompous militaristic orchestral music. Star_Wars-ish dreck with fewer brass instruments. The concept for ST Enterprise was terrific, but the writing was poor (tho' several notches above DS9 and ST-Voyager). Waste of potential. Maybe Chris Pine can rekindle the hope.

ya I get that some people really missed the long instrumental piece for star trek intros but it was completely fitting to move in a new direction. That idea had run its course. it's an absolute shame that the rest of the show was a pile of steaming shit.

If only this could have been what they used.
That original song, the horrible rock song, was so atrocious. I think that theme song single-handedly murdered the Star Trek television franchise.
When this show first came out, I thought the show was...ok. But every time the theme song came on, I wanted to smash my TV. And honestly...I think that theme song had a lot to do with me choosing to not watch the show.
Noooooo :/ the original is way better!
