M.A.N. diesel-hydraulic twin railcar of the glorious Peloponnese railroads, on ahladokampos bridge speeding up the heavy incline to Tripolis (2003) just before the closure of the mountain metric line between Corinth, Argos, Tripolis and Kalamata (Peloponnese Greece) for reconstruction of the old track.
The bridge is an 1974 rebuild of the original from steel destroyed in 1944. For 30 years the trains passed to the other side reciprocating on a triangular, inverted Y, line, deep in the valley. (Also called inversion loop technique)
In many parts of the line the rails are the originals of 1891!
Hi! I love travel videos, a longer one would be nice, at higher quality, i reckon you need it to do the movement of the train and scenery justice. interesting landscape
