A year later, maybe it's time I updated people, especially since many have asked me how things have been going.

  • Tomorrow is 6months since i came off Lexapro. I think it may have done some brain damage, even if tempory. I can't read books properly any more, i'm absent minded, and my head hurts. Plus memory problems. Scary stuff

  • @BentBuddha Hm. That does sound like something to worry about. Maybe you should go back to your doctor and tell him or her about it. Make sure though that you're not there to try and get 'em to prescribe more of the stuff to you though XD

  • @BentBuddha Sorry - I meant: make sure that he or she knows that you're not there to .. [etc]

  • I'm a week off of lexapro. I have the weird dizziness and brain zaps. My headaches are only mild though so that's good. I have come off before, and I was very frightened by the brain zaps. But now I understand what they are, and I calmly deal with them. Hopefully, on this 2nd try around my lifestyle changes will help me effectively cope with my anxieties. Here we go!

  • @crazyriders83 Excellent. I hope it all goes well for you, and yeah, knowing what it is that is happening makes it bearable. How did you come down? Did you decrease dosage gradually or go "cold turkey"?

  • Hes right it does motivate you i was on zoloft after 3 weeks i started to get into things that i didnt really care about they do have surgery were you can have serotonin flow threw the brain faster so you dont need to pop pills all the time people need this serotonin in the brain some people dont get enough live your life take what works for you

  • @wolverine27741 Fair enough, but with or without medical assistance, what's important is that you should work on identifying and addressing problems ;-)

  • @rozeboosje i don't know what the health care system is like over seas, but in Australia, they practically try to perscribe you anti depressants for anything and everything. Basically saying if they can't work it out, drug you into a high so you leave them alone. Not a chance in hell will they ever get any of their poisons in my body again. Organic whole foods, meditation, good friends, study the mind and yourself. That's the answer, not drugs. Screw them and their "health" system

  • @noahfuckinharry I thank you

  • i like this guy.
