Haven't heard the krks so I can't really judge. You should try and have a listen to both monitors side by side somewhere. Try you local pro audio store.

hey i dj and was looking for some monitors to go in my studio with my pioneer setup would you say the yamaha hs80m are worth having?

Hey Matty, the HS80Ms are great. i've got mine paired with the HS10W sub also. I'd suggest going to a local music store and listening to a few different pairs of monitors before you buy, however, as some people like some monitors more than others.

The corner Bass Traps were just wedged snuggly into the corners and the wall panels were hung with fishing line to the upper skirting board.

Hope that helps. I'll be posting more details on the project next week on my blog, incl. full cost breakdowns and mounting techniques.

Hey mate, The insulation that i used inside the panels is Acoustisorb 3. Similar properties to rockwool or glass wool but non-hazadous and therefore easier to handle.

All panels have a simple pine frame backing that is then used to mount them to the wall or ceiling. I am fortunate to have an I-beam down the centre of my room so I could hang the frames with wire without drilling any holes into the ceiling.
