For 8 years, students, teachers and Washington state research biologists have participated in a groundbreaking cougar research project called Project CAT. The project involved middle and high school students going out into the field to track and radio-collard wild cougars. The students have been involved in all aspects of research, and their participation has been important in getting community members of Cle Elum to learn how to live safely in cougar country.
What a great way to teach kids on these great Big Cats.
