It didn't split because it was an AMC Eagle. I have that exact same style Eagle. It's got a strong engine with a luxurious interior. How could they do this to such a wonderful car in such great condition?

@nrg078 if the snow plow would be moving .. that means that the guy would make a move so the crush wont happend.. but what if the snow plow driver was blind? :P

@nrg078 Unfortunately it wouldn't. If you consider they'd be driving on a snowy road that needs to be plowed, I'm sure the driver of both vehicles wouldn't be travelling that fast to begin with. On top of that, I'm sure they would apply brakes at some point. This test was set up to deliver the benefit of the doubt (not driving on ice, so they have forward friction & momentum). The resultant velocity is the sum of both vehicles at impact, which realistically would be less than what they tested.

They should've used a corvette or any fast sport/super car. Those things were ment for high speed and being able to get a wreckage uglier than the worst crash ever
