@shriekmaw907, except for the fact that ken has the japanese non turbo'd 2.0L 3S-GE.
G-Limited with the NA 2.0L 3S-GE engine; an A/T was standard or a M/T was optional. The G-Limited was the higher-specification naturally-aspirated SW20. Additional standard features: electric folding mirrors, steering fog lamps, and rear spoiler.

@shriekmaw907 SW20 refers to both the naturally aspirated (3SGE) and turbo (3SGTE) version of the mk2 MR2. Only for the North American market does the SW20 refer only to the 3SGTE and SW21 refer to the 5SFE.
Read the manga (ie chapter 165). States that it's a non-turbo SW20, meaning Kai is running the naturally aspirated 3SGE.
I've been an active member of both the MR2 and Initial D community for a while now.

lol you retards. the MR2 in initial d is an SW20, which is single-turbo. i should know, i have one. and you won't hear the turbo sound on cars unless it has been modified (cold air intake, + AFM removed)

Is it just me or is it odd that a front heavy 86 doesn't just slam on it's front bumper after the jump, but hits the ground exatley like a mid engined mr2?
