Let's Play Gun.Smoke Part 1: Desynch of the Old West

Sorry about the desynch in this video, but that's what happens when I have to use Camstudio instead of Camtasia to record. *shakes fist*

Anyway! I'm still taking recommendations for LPs, this one will probably only be 5 or 6 videos long, and it's just filler, because it's a game I wanted to play.

This game killed many an afternoon of my childhood. I'm not sure I ever actually beat it, though. This game was damned hard for me at my young age.

It still gives me problems in some areas. Sometimes I can sit down and do a flawless run, sometimes I can't get past stage 4 or 5. It's weird like that.

The audio lag was pretty much a non issue. Turned out fine.

You should go into your camstudio audio options and click on MCI recording or whatever the hell the option is. That should take care of any lag and you could probably do the next videos live. Of course, test it first.

Thanks for the advice WC, but I'll probably just be doing the future videos without sound.

My soundcard doesn't support stereo or mono mix, and I generally prefer to do "live" commentary rather than post-commentary, leaving me just the one option.

It's just that Gun.Smoke has good enough sounds and catchy music for an NES game I wanted to show it off at least once before I went back to my normal routine.

Thanks again for the advice. I'll keep it in mind when I get my new rig.

But i'm going to watch Gun Smoke Lets Play even though I have never heard of it before in my entire life.. but i watched Bruce Lee Lets Play with a constant smile.

The first 3 levels aren't that bad. The 4th one starts to get harder but is mostly about avoiding rather than shooting.

Level 5 and particularly 6 are a complete bitch. I've beaten them, but it's not fun. And the Wanted poster placement on the 6th level is nearly impossible to get without dying, so you usually have to loop around earning the cash to pay $60k. :(
