As if Japanese vending machines weren't wild enough, these machines accept payment by holding your cellular phone up to a pad. Kind of like the new proximity-type credit cards you wave in front of a terminal or gas pump. These machines even have video screens showing ads and demonstrating the new payment system.

  • In japan they dont have as many as the shitheads we have here so you can make put these expensive machines out in the open without worry. Also, they don't have the immigrant population in Japan to do menial jobs, so they need machines.

  • @goodbeerfinder100 Japan doesn't have an immigrant population? I found lots of people from Philippines, South America, USA, etc. all working there. Vending machines are convenient and cost effective, but they still have a 7-11 on every corner.

  • Japanese like Shiny! :)

  • @PNWShawn BS here is the states you have to find girls willing to sell them, they charge too much!

  • the vending machine is from 2020 yet the ad is from 1990

  • I was lead here... starting from Mcgyver... -_-

  • @betterthanyourkills Thanks for a very useful comment. I'm pretty sure you don't see this in Mexico

  • Why don't you have anything to drink? Choose one making you better feeling!

  • @ansettaddict123 It is exactly the same system as used in Australia. The particular ship in these phones was first used to pay for bus fare, then expanded to subway and train fares. Now the same chip in your phone that pays for your ticket can buy you a cold drink.
