This is entirely sinicized music which has little or nothing to do with traditional Tibetan music. This would be okay as mall music or elevator music. I have heard real Tibetan music, and it is nothing like this. China is overwhelming Tibetan culture, and that amounts to cultural genocide in my book. Tibetans would like autonomy back in their traditional territories, but how can six or seven million Tibetans compete with 1.3 billion Chinese?

fucking bitch mixed up all our culture and traditions ......china is overwhelming Tibetan culture. we always protest stop genocide in Tibet but no one listening and thinking about us and after few decade tibetans will fully washed out from earth .ccp motives are too cruel world has to understand our pain and act accordingly but even UN is shutting down when china do taunt so who will challenge china if we Tibetan remains silent .........let them kick out of tibet

a lot of times people do not understand the whole concept of evolution. culture does not stay the same and it does change after 60 yrs and it is also different from location to location. the music you people are listening is not the same old music you indians listen to in india and that is just fine because it is a product of years of interaction between tibet and chinese. pull your head out of the sand and accepte the reality of tibet is part of china

This is about as fake as it gets. But, I don't blame the performers, who are skilled and playing their hearts out. Nor, do I blame the Chinese people, whose government stomped on Tibet and drenched its unique culture with a coat of Chinese cultural varnish. Yet, my own government did the same thing more than a century ago, when it vanquished a native population, and created similarly gaudy shows, diminishing the real heart and soul of these people's traditional life and arts. Sad.

Like the Chinese, I'm frankly xenophobic but this video has really got me hooked. The music is a joy & the performers a delight in action & expression. Especially, the percussionist. Very versatile!
This is the real combination of CHinese music and Tibetan music!...but it is nice, the ladies are unique...
