ECU Football Touchdown Drive in first half of Football Game vs UTEP 2011 in Sun Bowl. The Pirates (4-6, 3-3) were paced by Dominique Davis who connected on 18-of-34 passes for 133 yards and a touchdown, but he was sacked twice and also tossed a couple of interceptions in the second setback in as many games.

ECU opened the game's scoring with a two-yard touchdown run by Michael Dobson in the first quarter, but from there the Miners rattled off 16 unanswered points to close out the first half.

The defense made an impact for UTEP as Darren Woodard returned an interception 44 yards for a TD, although the PAT failed which left the home team with a 7-6 deficit with 11:51 to play in the first half. Leilyon Myers put the Miners in the lead with a two-yard TD run, while a Steven Valdez 46-yard field goal with 34 seconds to play in the second quarter made the score 16-7 at the break.
