This was my second time ever driving a go kart. I decided to make a homemade helmet strap. I recorded three races altogether, this was the first. I used an Xacti E2 AVC/H.264 video camera. It worked great except one corner where it was not lit very well. If you live by Olathe Kansas I suggest checking out Sadler's Racing. It's great fun and the Go karts are very quick for a family karting center. Avg speeds around 35mph.

  • I go to this track a lot and set numerous fastest laps of the day, not a bad race for your second time, try cutting the corners a bit more and get more use into the throttle, and passing alot of it is anticipating what the driver ahead of you will do, I can give you alot of tips just let me know!

  • @WOTGSXR Thanks man, I've been three or four more times and become a lot better. My fastest lap is 35.8 right now. I usually run in the low to mid 36's though. Maybe we can race sometime.

  • if i dont win i'll buy you a 20 minute race

  • I'll take that challenge. Only if you give me tips on what you see me doing wrong.

ps I'm a lot bettter than in this video. haha

  • i challenge you both ;)

  • Bring it! ha

  • @Creamy0Joe they had to have had a different track setup but on my printout that is what it said. these karts were awesome

  • @evinsteven13 Yeah the last time I was there ArchAngel had the track record of 30.976. I'm not sure that this time is possible with the karts and the way that they're set up, but that would be extremely fast. My guess is he either used a different kart or a different set up with the karts that they already have. He might work there and know something we don't.

Or he might just be that good. And, no, I don't know him.

  • @Creamy0Joe ok. says the best time was like 16 seconds by archangel. know him? is that even possible to get that on the grand prix track?

  • @evinsteven13 No offense but 39 seconds is pretty average. I consider myself to be pretty good and I usually get around the 36.0 mark. My best time is somewhere around 35.8 or so on a good day with a good kart.

Btw kart #2 was pretty bad the last time I went (yesterday).

  • Nice video. Very well done. I'm going this Saturday and you gave me a good idea as to what this course is like. Thanks!

  • just went there this weekend. I drove the kart #8 seen at the beginning of the vid. However I could whoop your ass at this track. my best time was 39 seconds

  • Those things haul ass

  • hahaha these ppl want an ass kickin!
