@PowerRider16 ya really nice lookin sleds...polaris was ahead of the game with their IFS...not too mention they were the king of the triple's back then....great sleds.... not sure why they didn't have Temperature gages for their liquid cooleds....i know afew guys that had their engines seize....i think the red light came on too late.

@quincee33 yeah it's just cause of the distinct wedge shape the front end has. i'm not sure exactly what years but the first indy was made in 1980 and looked similar to mine. i believe the last wedge indy is the 97 xcr 700 and xlt 600 but models such as the 500 changed shape a few years earlier
That was a good deal on that sled sir! Sled has to have been rejetted to a bigger size when you put a dg pipe on. so currently. Its running rich! change the jets and it should stop fouling plugs and run better. Rejet to stock. The specs should be under the hood on a sticker or on the air box. Good luck!

why take out the studs
rascles 3 months ago
@rascles because they're old and rusting and could pull through the track. if part of the stud that's on the inside of the track cracks off cause of the rust, the stud won't have as much support and could put too much pressure on a small area the track, pull out, and make a nice tear. that's what i was told anyway and it makes sense to me, plus i don't need studs cause i just ride in powder. of course, all this only has a slight chance of actually happening but i'd rather just make sure it won't
