Nothing psychs up a physicist quite like a black hole, a star that has died and yielded to the gaping maw of gravity. Listen as Stephen Hawking, aided by 3-D animation, explains the concept of space-time and how black holes are formed. Allow yourself to be drawn to the edge of a black hole — the event horizon — and imagine what life would be like inside.

  • Talking about religion or God is asking why?

That is not the question here.

They question is how. How does this great universe we live in work?

It's not about God, though religious people like making it so. We aren't saying anything about whether God exists, but are trying to find out how the universe came to be. Asking why it came to be is not a question science answers, but religion. Don't get those two issues confused and you will begin to see that you can accept science and god.

  • No he can't. He hasn't evan figured out how to save all the cancer patients or feed the millions of starving people yet. God is clearly incompetent.

  • Is it possible that gravity affects light without actually distorting the space?

In other words, why is it space-time being distorted, can't "everything else" be distorted with space-time be left untouched?

How did Einstein come to that conclusion instead?

  • Is this Malcolm McDowell narrating?

  • @JacobProvo @JacobProvo Yo Jacob,email me your work at axlthered8@hotmail.com

I will prove whether your theory is even right let alone revolutionary..

  • that alarm clock reminded me of a show that i cant remember the name of, it used to come on on the discovery channel. it was about catatrophies and it showed simulations of those scenarios. they probably wont have it on their website so if anyone knows the show im talking about please reply to me

  • @JacobProvo could you e-mail it to me I'm a bit curious I'll PM you the address

  • Im 14, and during the summer i came to a realization. A realization on how black holes are formed and work. I had an entire 120 page filled out front to back cover to cover explaining my idea. The first day back i gave the notebook to the schools physics teacher. She read the entire thing, then called me crazy. That following week i showed it to my neighbor who was a physicist. He looked it over and said that he couldn't believe that a 14 year old created a plausible explaination of black holes

  • @Pax00Imperium i think why is a higher question than how.

  • so many DCD songs! why!!

  • @cantroos

I was talking about your mama's black hole Cantroos she draws alot of rockets towards it
