Youtube is meant for every type of video... why would it matter what type of video it is? There is even a category for education when uploading a video.

Youtube is MEANT for video sharing. For anybody to share any videos they'd like to, as long as they don't violate terms of service. Anybody should be able to upload videos to youtube if they want to, no matter what the genre. That's what makes youtube so awesome.

Youtube is a community, anyone can posts videos, any videos of any genre, of anything that they want, obv not pornography etc, but you get the point. If teachers find it easier to teach by watching or uploading videos then they can go for it. They might be teaching a class that they need videos to help what they're teaching.
