Hey, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. My YT channel was messed up. Anyway, yeah the HF panels are a little pricey. You can get them on sale for $3.00/watt but you'll get a more consistent output from them. I'm going to add a couple mono-crystalline panels in the spring bc they supposedly are better in partial sun too.

Hi. You are doing great work. I just noticed that your amp meter rose and fell with the clouds/sun. A thin film (amorphous) panel will put out a steady current whether it's sunny or not. Monocrystalline cells are better on cloudy days also.

@jhs5150 I would love to get some amorphous panels they are harder to find in 12 volt and not break the bank. Harbor freight has some but are just too expensive for what you get 200 to 250 dollars for 45 watts ouch. I wish the prices would come down. amorphous that is what I meant to write sorry. you can get the 90 volt ones but they are too high of voltage for my rig.

If you had thin film or monocrystalline panels your amperage would remain steady even on cloudy days.

@jhs5150 you will have to show me make a video or something. I think they are monocrystalline panels. Do you mean metamorphic panels?
