@bxjam85 As for the "numerous empirical studies" you mentioned- be careful, for many of them are outdated. I don't mean that in the sense that single-parent households have become more socially acceptable than they were in the 60s (though I would say that's true). Rather, I mean to point out the number of single-parent families in the U.S. has risen while the number of "nuclear" families has declined. The base data have shifted. Previous conclusions made on old data may no longer apply.

@bxjam85 Questions for you: Why do you think it is so important for an individual to be raised specifically by the male and the female from which said individual's gametes came? Also, why do you feel it is so important for the gamete-donating male and female to be "married"? Do you mean "married" in a religious sense or in a legal sense?

@bxjam85 You seem to think a "lack of male authority in our families" is/would be problematic. Open your mind. May all future generations be "trained" in ways that do not promote exclusive "male authority".

@bxjam85 I don't need to be married to have kids and btw I had 2 kids while I was married. I am now divorced and I don't think my decions to keep LuLu was a bad decision and it's offensive that you would even say that. I made a very tough decision to keep LuLu and I take care of her by myself. I am very good friends with my ex husband and he would agree 100% our kids were not bad decisions on either of our parts. U have ur info wrong & u make harsh judgments based on misinformation.

nice bra, and awesome Lulu is awesome
@ratedrsuperstar6666 two of her kids live with their father. Lulu's father, from what we have learned, ditched Karen and Lulu when she was pregnant. Personally, I think it's better to have a mother that loves you than to be stuck with a father who obviously does not want to be with the family.
