Warren Smith was one of the first Sun artists to have the rock-a-billy tag in 1956 with Malcom Yelvington. Old Sam don't dig much that put down word coined by The Cashbox writers crew. Warren rocked hard and give us some of the best sides cut at 706 Union Avenue. Miss Froggie and Ubangi Stomp are pure jewels like is "I' ve Got Love If You Want It". Charlie Barbat bring us two great singles in 1977 and 1978 and he was the one who walked me in front of Warren Smith in November 23, 1979. If you listen closely Warren, he paid tribute to a real good friend of him in that recording. Giving you that song from Margaret Lewis files is my goodbye to Mister Charlie, the wildest cat in town and a real good friend of mine.
Imperial.
