TIM RUSSERT Low tech white boards point to FLORIDA! 6-13-08

Tim Russert died Friday afternoon of a heart attack while in the newsroom at NBC headquarters in Washington, DC. He died doing the thing he loved the most- readying himself for another edition of Sunday morning's Meet the Press.

This video revisits Russert's coverage of the Florida vote in relation to the presidential election in 2000 when George W. Bush winning the election all came down to Florida. Russert's low tech white washable marker boards beat out the computers in helping everyone understand what was going on.

Tim Russert is legend. David Duke interview, along w/ many others, will live in the annals of cable news history forever. Us news geeks only had one or two reliable sources (not talking about Howard Kurtz). He was one of them.
