In March 1972, only a few American soldiers remained at Cam Ranh Bay as US troops were being withdrawn from the country. Cam Ranh Bay is now eerily silent.
I was at cam rhan bayin the 483 transportation squadron vehicle maintenance. Was there fromsep 71 to apr 72.They shipped the new nco club at crb to kunsan korea.
This footage is incredible! I've always been fascinated by places like Cam Rahn, Long Binh and even Clark and Subic in the Phillipines----gigantic bases that the U.S. bankrolled then just walked away from.
