I am also a teacher and this video was really useful, my students are fascinated by this feature of English. I would argue it is not just the working classes who drop their t's though. Originally it may have been down to class, but if you look at estuary English (which is primarily a middle class accent) everyone drops the t. In Scotland too. People are much more mixed up regarding class these days.

I've heard that sometimes T appears to be ignored in a word when it actually isn't (half-pronounced). Could you tell us more about it or make a video, please? Thank you in advance!

It's one of reasons when I have understood somebody I recognize her/him as a foreigner ;)
There are so many English in England. My favorite - manual , written, spoken by educated, spoken with phrasal, spoken by working class, spoken by me.

I've heard a few examples of really beautiful British English but most Britons speak either like halfwits from the province or like snobs with too theatrical manner enjoying their own voice
-
correctly pronounced the t is stronger than the d and a clear difference can be heard
-
if you drop the t and d, which some people do, there is no difference

Me parece un vídeo que puede resultar de gran utilidad para todos los que intentamos hablar inglés lo mejor posible

pretty cool! i used to be an telephonic interpreter in the usa, and i used to get a lot of calls from england. the accent was tricky to understand sometimes, especially because of the "t". it took me some time to get used to it. i remember a 999 operator asking "what's the matter?", and all the "t's" were gone in the sentence. it's very neat though!!

Very good video. I was aware of the so-called glottal stop, and I also wanted to tell you that in Spanish -my mother tongue- phonetic differences may be even wider.
I notice, that sometimes you pronounce "R" at the end of the word, and sometimes not pronounce. Just as you can drop "t".

Sir i am in London and learning English. I am pretty much confused about dropping Ts. I want to learn the standard British accent. So what would you suggest about dropping Ts.
