Costello thinks that by shouting the words he´s taking the song into another dimension. Like Presley´s which WAS another dimension. Same with those full stops, and making up words that are not on the original by Jr, Parker. Unlike Presley´s version, which makes you want to hear no one else´s version, this one by Costello had me racing to hear the originals and, frankly, Presley´s 1970 live version is unbeatable as sheer entertainment. Check it out.

Gotta love Elvis Costello. He took Elvis' name and a little bit of Buddy Hollys look and voice. LOL. Not a bad job with this song.

Nice. Costello should have Derek Miller; Shakti Hayes; Murray Porter; Beaver Thomas; George Leach 'n Jason Burnstick on his show. Ya'all missin' the boat. Lmao <3

I saw him do this in NYC with Nick Lowe and Robyn Hitchcock, oh boy was that good. This is great though, James Burton is the greatest rockabilly guitarist ever.
