Bought a brand new 09 1200 custom sportster 2 weeks ago. I haven't ridden for 25 years, so I took a one day refresher course before I got it. It is an absolutely fabulous bike. My son rides one of the the big Suzuki sports bikes, but he was really impressed with it when I let him ride it, even if it is out of his inheritance! The forward controls make it as comfortable as driving the car, but much, much more fun. Thoroughly recommend it.

Yea the customs with the forward controls are great. Well you can always leave it to your son.....he could sell it if he doesn't want to keep it. Oh NO, did I say sell a Sporty..............!!! They're great aren't they !!

Thanks. I'm 5'5" and it fits me fine. Mine is a custom so it has the forward controls which I really like.

cool vid ! I have a 2004 sporty 1200 and i love to ride.

The sound it makes is awesome! I put a bigger tank on it so i can go for long rides,and a bigger seat for the wife.

Heaps a power, easy to keep up with the big twins. Nothing like riding into the sunset.
