The Parachute Center of Acampo / Lodi (often known as Skydive Lodi) does not tolerate "any turn below 500 feet in excess of 90 degrees that takes less than 5 seconds."
This begs a question, "How fast can a canopy go with just a 90 degree turn?" How much performance can a good canopy pilot squeeze out of a 90 degree swoop? 25% of canopy terminal? 50%? 90% 100%?
I just HAD to find out, thus the world's first 90 degree swoop money meet.
It was held on 11/14 - 11/15, 2009 at Lodi.
The event information, pictures and results can be found at http://www.4dwireless.net/lodi90
The name of the song is "You Might Think I am Crazy" by Cars.
