Update...Day 54.

All is good except there is some mold growing on the plugs of the plants. Just hoping I can get some tomatoes before/if it kills thems.

Music: "Galaxy Bounce" by Chemical Brothers.

  • looks good. so have you noticed a difference in the electric bill?

  • Thx...No, not really. The pump has since broke so I'm trying to get it replaced or fixed.

  • man....your lucky...you already have little tomatoes!!! mine are still little seedlings...you may have convinced me to invest in an aerogarden....might have to be my next purchase!! nice plants!!! kat

  • The other tomato plants that I planted in soil the same day as the Aerogarden are nowhere near ready to produce fruit. It may take 10 years to pay for itself(too expensive!), BUT I think it's pretty cool.

  • add an ounce of hydrogen peroxide to your water, no mold

  • Have you thought of using Ocean Grown Sea Solution for the mold. I have 45 day old tomatoes that look perfectly healthy and I had a capful of concentrated sea water once every two weeks. The sodium in the solution should help prevent mold. My flowers are just starting to open up, the booklet says to shake the plant vigorously for 7 secs to help pollinate the flowers, does that work or do I whip out the pencil?

  • Love the music, babe !!!!!

  • NiCe

  • 1 week before harvest flush the plant with clean filtered water

the plant will use up the rest of the ferts and nutes.

    good and healthy to eat.

  • os eating food grow with chemical ferts really good

  • i want the aerogarden but just for the lamp and hood. Im not paying for the overpriced seed kits. I just wanna use it to make my own kit. THe hardest thing im finding with hydroponic is getting the nutrient levels right. I have a ph meter and ec meter but still my plants are getting little small marks and spots on them not matter what level the nutrients are. With all the hassle of hydro im tempted to grow under lights using just soil. It seems hydro plants suffer from alot of problems vs soil

  • Oh that sucks. I just bought mine yesterday so I think I made a bad ourchase lol
