"I'm Bringing a Red, Red Rose" by Sam Lanin's Dance Orchestra

This lovely tune is called "I'm Bringing a Red, Red Rose" and was recorded by Sam Lanin's Dance Orchestra with Irving Kaufman singing on the vocal refrain on December 26, 1928 on Regal 8705.
As Regal is one of the labels to the Plaza Music Co. this very same recording was released on a number of other labels including Conqueror, Lincoln and Romeo.

Played on a HMV 97 portable phonograph.

Not heard this version; I have one by Ben Bernie which is very good...Scrappy Lambert does the vocal on it. Thank you for sharing a "new" recording of a song I really enjoy hearing.

@VictrolaJazz The Olsen version is very good. I actually prefer it to this one, but since I don't have a copy of it, I think this is a pretty good replacement!

Great version! The only other one I was familiar with is Olsen's and this is just as good. I'm wanting a portable now as well!
