@evilyig I think the point they were making/arguing was resource allocation, Bush just stopped putting money into looking for him, Obama allocated resources to get intelligence which inevitably led to his capture, we can't nickle and dime the result...who is owed more credit, all these things led to his capture including as you pointed out, luck.

I'm a supporter of Obama in most respects, but I don't think Obama did anything more than Bush to find Bin Laden. This was luck, in that finally we got some good information from an informant and managed to get to Bin Laden before he hid somewhere else. I don't think this is being portrayed fairly here.

Christiane Amanpour told them 3 years ago, on this very show, that Bin Laden was living in a comfortable villa in Pakistan and nobody had to extradite or waterboard her for that info.
