Ellen DeGeneres working in Arrested Development's Banana Stand in the beginning of an episode around 2004. Which I think is pretty cute (and ironic) because later on she ends up falling in love with Arrested Development's own Portia de Rossi and marrying her August 16, 2008! It's fate! ;-)

Portia met Ellen socially in 2001, but it took Portia 3 yrs (2004) to tell Ellen how she really felt. Also Ellen was probably watch Arrested Development anyway.

Surprised no one has mentioned the obvious connection besides portia and ellen, Mitch Hurwitz (creator) worked with ellen before ever conceiving AD

I know, right! :-) But Portia said Ellen always loved AD and thought it was a great show! I wonder what she was thinking when she watched the show with Alex Hedison and saw Portia... hmmm..... ;-) I guess we'll never know.
This is very ironic, but sweet! They were meant to be! <3
