Cliffe Knechtle talks with students at the University of Illinois. Taped the second week of October, 2007.
The "Give Me An Answer" ministry began as an outgrowth of the dialogues Cliffe Knechtle has had with students on various university campuses throughout the United States. These universities include the University of Maine, Harvard, MIT, University of Florida, University of Texas, University of Wisconsin, University of Minnesota, University of California Los Angeles, University of California San Diego, Berkeley, Stanford, University of Hawaii and the University of Washington. Cliffe spoke on these campuses in front of the Student Union or Library at noon for five to ten minutes. At the close of his initial remarks, he'd open up the time for questions and answers, which usually turned into a two to four hour dialogue with students. His crowd size ranged from 25 - 500 students at a time, and between classes, new students would join the discussion. This was an extremely effective way to reach a large number of university students with the Gospel of Christ.

That doesn't prove that the doctrine of Hell is false though. Cliffe is talking about TRUTH of, not intention behind belief. If the doctrine of Hell is true, then it makes no sense to choose not to follow God, because if you chose to live every day in repentance of sin, you'd go to Heaven anyways. The reason why you would still deny God your time, is precisely because Hell implies control. If Hell were not involved, you'd accept God in a heartbeat.

  • This 22 or 23 Year old says he is a physicist, God help us please!!!!!!! If this is the future of our western science I sincerely now hope, there is GOD.to save us from the "PHYSICIST" such as this young man who still probably cannot tell the difference between Shit and Clay.

  • I don't think either side was too clear in arguing their points.

  • Comment down below lol. Dino why cliff mentioned he'll isn't eternal suffering... It is!!! We humans don't understand that our sins might be minimal to us but there massively offensive to a Holy righteous and just God who hates sin why else do you think such a sacrifice had to be made?? Trust in Christ!!!

  • why does this cat have to hide the bible in his jacket?

  • supernatural could be defined as beyond the natural. Since matter and energy were created then the physical (natural) laws did not exist yet. i.e. you can't have gravitiy without matter and energy. Finally since life is so complex and cannot randomly come together (according to scientific observation) an intelligence is required. Supernatural Intelligence....(God) . Something coming from nothing is not difficult its impossible! I'm open to evidence but no so desperate to share your faith.

  • @superbill2 Also, there may be something that caused the universe to come into existance, but why would it have to be supernatural?

  • @superbill2 I am not saying that there is evidence for the universe being eternal. I am just saying that it is an option to consider. Evidence for something coming out of nothing is not so simple, there is an extensive video on youtube about that. The experiment measures the change in the path of a beam of electrons in a total vacuum and the change in trajectory is compared to the energy form out of nothing in vacuum as expected from Dirac's calculations.

  • @mancaht I'll consider the possibility that the universe could be eternal if you can demonstrate scientific evidence for this belief of yours, all the evidence i've seen points to a beginning. If something can come from nothing, by nothing what would it be, and what is the evidence for it? Everything that has a beginning has a cause! The Universe had a beginning so the Universe has a cause....

  • @superbill2 Why do you say "The universe had a beginning"? How do you know? It may be the case, but not necessarily. Also, not everything that has a beginning has a cause. It has been shown that something can, in fact, come from nothing. So no, you do not need God to explain the universe.
