Video updated 10/17/09 - This is one of the most challenging endurance events out there and as they say, it takes place in the worlds greatest sports arena! Taking runners from - 282 feet below sea level at the Badwater Basin, Death Valley, to Mt. Whitney Portal (8,360 ft) 135 miles away, while racing through temperatures that reached 130 degrees. I was able to capture some solid footage, which took a bit of effort since I had my crewing and pacing duties to attend to as well. Elizabeth and I hope you enjoy and we look forward to next time...
I would probably drop dead after a half hour of running in that heat. They don't call it "Death Valley" for no reason.
