Mykonos w/ Voice Box (Fleet Foxes cover)

I got the most awesome package in the mail the other day from my friend Brad, which turned out to be a Voice Box from Electro-Harmonix. Let me tell you.. this thing is fun.

I love the harmonies in Fleet Foxes' music, so I thought I'd try to mimic them as best as one girl can, by using this piece of equipment to add some harmonies. This specific pedal is a voice box/vocoder, but for this song i'm not using the vocoder part of it. If it interests you, I'm using it on the "Muti Harmony 3" setting. So the voice box plays my actual voice, but then also adds harmonies that are customized to the chords I'm playing on the keyboard, so that it all goes together nicely. SO much fun!

@ColleenDauncey hey colleen....love the music...that pedal is amazing...does it have in and outs for guitar? if not do you know if they make a pedal like this for guitar??...i have the micro pog....but this seems to be something i would really want to try out especially when doing ambient swells...again...amazing cover!!

@superreverbfreak Hi! Yes, it has a 1/4" input and output and an XLR input and output. So you can plug your guitar and a mic into it. I've noticed that it works best with a clean tone input into it, it has a bit of trouble with the more complex tones on my keyboard (maybe it's the overtones? I don't know). Let me know if you do try it out! good luck!

Wow Colleen you have such gorgeous voice and way of singing!! Electroharmonix make nice pedals, i have the octaver for guitar, it has such a smooth tracking . With this pedal (i'm still waiting on the mail for it..) if you play a chord and sing a vowel and then you change the chord but don't change the vowel would it track and change smoothly the harmonies?? Also,i rather sing the harmonies layered than use this but can i switch in place of mike instrument & vversa to make weird sounds? Thanks!
