"Midnight Son" is a gritty, realistic new look at the vampire genre, and is the debut feature film from writer/director Scott Leberecht. It was produced by Matt Compton and Scott Leberecht, and Executive Produced by Eduardo Sanchez, co-creator of "The Blair Witch Project."

The film is now available on DVD & Digital in the United States, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

    It aired on FEARnet in January and February. The DVD will be released on July 17 in the US & Canada. It will also be on iTunes, Vudu, and other digital stores.

    It does remind me of "Addiction" and "Martin", but at least it's a vampire movie that tries to tackle a question not usually explained - What is it that creates a vampire. It seems to have a story - something that the "Transformers" and Attention Deficit generation won't like, but hopefully it's a sign of movies becoming good again. Especially horror movies...

    I loved it! It's a sort of indie realistic version of the vampire genre, it had romance but far from the cliche and oh jesus the end dude! I loved the whole, "let's deal with it" thing. Amazing job you guys!
