A lesson to kids: when you're screwing around, and your parents tell you to knock it off, DO IT! I know this by experience. When I was three, my mother told me to get off the window sill, because I would fall out. Well...I didn't listen, and fell about six feet onto a cement porch. A fractured skull later, and I learned a valuable lesson.

@RLewisH how would that help? maybe the top wouldn't break and it would still be stuck. Plus even if it did, it could have cut her tongue so badly it would do more damage than having the tongue stuck in the bottle itself

If they would have broken it right away instead calling an ambulance her tongue would not have had time to get swollen, so that would have worked. It was stuck so long, so then just breaking it would no longer work. How hard is it to figure out breaking it would release the suction.
