A raccoon came into the yard in the daytime, and we threw some organic corn chips on the lawn for him. A few minutes later the deer showed up, and the raccoon ran up a tree - for a few moments. Just as the raccoon was brave enough to head for the chips, the deer noticed the chips.

The deer are used to grazing on the clover flowers and leaves in our lawn, and liked the uncommon chip bonanza. After the raccoon ate his chips, the deer decided they didn't want him anymore on what they consider the "deer's lawn."

  • Raccoon are the 1%

  • @ak47gen "Raccoon are the 1%"

Thanks for that observation! Best laugh I've had today.

Although to be fair, I have to say the raccoon is a good parent - very caring and attentive. Unlike most of the 1% (and their enablers) who seem to be the opposite.

  • Now why is it not this easy when people go hunting?

  • @BRiZiFa Why is it not this easy when people go hunting, you ask?

It's the difference between trust and fear.

  • @PelorianPages well not really over time deer know when it's safe to come into the open during daytime and when the season comes around they go back deep in the thickets

during the mating season or rut the bucks only want to hook up with the does and become more ballsey but they still are very careful

  • that raccoon is a bitch
