Dedication is the sixteenth album by Herbie Hancock. It was recorded in Japan in 1974 while Hancock was touring and first released on the Japanese CBS Sony label. Hancock performs "Maiden Voyage" and "Dolphin Dance" acoustically, while "Nobu" and "Cantaloupe Island" were performed on electric keyboards.

I have to disagree with the viewers who say this is unsuccessful. On the contrary, I would call this version a great space-funked jazz Cantaloupe Island. Herbie is a legend, no matter what style he played in.

WOW, I had never heard of that version, let alone of that album even though I thought I was a big fan of Hancock's work. Thank you so much for uploading this, I immediately bought it on Amazon (mp3 only unfortunately!).
