@sodapapa anyone who quotes a main stream media source. It's not bad to listen to it but to believe any of it would not be wise. I look for the truth to be more opposite of what we are led to believe. I already know since the White house website posted his certificate in pdf form but made a crucial mistake. The pdf when opened in an editor program reveals the path and edits of the document they presented as a facsimile which is impossible. Any forensic detective will tell you I'm correct

You can't just take the definition from Vattel's work since you can't draw a direct link that the framers used his definition. In fact, the more common understand of the word at the time meant simply born on the nation's soil regardless of parental status.

@kubush Vattel's Law of Nations was later referenced in Art 2.8.10 as the defining factor. Later the foreign birth to both citizen parents was allowed by congress. But BOTH parents still had to be citizens due to conflicting interests.
