I read somewhere that the DVD Release was missing some footage from the first two episodes, so I got my old VHS copy out and went through it to find all the bits, here's what I found.

  • I don't think they cut these scenes from the DVD release. I read somewhere that the VHS releases featured footage that was also cut from the original broadcast due to time.

  • What I've deduced is that these scenes were included in the hour long pilot episode but when this is cut into two half-hour episodes it needs to make room for the extra credits/recap/intro/cliffhanger which meant these scenes were cut for time.

  • @omerthe3rd Zelda always scared me as well. I clearly remember hiding my face with a cushion when she came on. Some of her monsters really scared the crap out of me!

  • at 1:12 kates chair arrives by itself but when it leaves it needs 4 zeriods to move it, i guess kate must weigh more than the empty chair can managed on it`s own.

  • and also Freetime another Thames production for Childrens ITV which was the last Thames programme before the 5.15 handover

  • this also applied to the Thames feature based series made for Childrens ITV ACE Reports could not show any clips either

  • and in 1983 getting 14 different regional companies to air a programme at the same time was very difficult and with two separate companies in London refusing to promote each others programmes meant that Terrahawks did not get MUCH IF ANY promotion in the London area (Terrahawks being a LWT co-production with Anderson/Burr) which meant with Thames having the weekday licence at the time that on Monday to early Friday no trailers for LWT shows for the coming weekend would be shown

  • i would suspect ITV originally intended to show Expect The Unexpected in a 1 hour slot but a suitable timeslot could not be found which meant that it would be a 2 parter

  • @ 3:54 he sounds like unicron from transformers

  • I confirm there are those born unfortunate ... the only one dislike here

  • @Ducksel - after you digitize the VHS you can convert it to a better editing quality or if you have the use of a digital editing production studio...believe...you can do anything

  • THIS IS HUMAN FUTUR.
