Why Cadbury hates Kraft

Cadbury plc (NYSE:CBY) executives and British government officials have repeatedly slammed Kraft Foods Inc.'s (NYSE:KFT) $16.3 billion hostile bid for the U.K. confectioner. Most recently the British Secretary warned Kraft (The Deal Pipeline subscription required) against trying to "make a fast buck." But John Briggs, co-chair of the antitrust practice group at Axinn, Veltrop and Harkrider LLP, says the backlash against Kraft may be as much about culture as it is about price. - Suzanne Stevens

@Carefreeblues it's a chocolate company that's over 200 years old. But it's more than that , it's one of the first companies to treat its employees well. 2 day weekend, paid vacation, community garden...etc. They actually care about the community. So, with Cadbury goes the total extinction of businesses that give a crap.

@Chrizbubbz Good one. lol BTW, I'm American, and I feel very sorry for the UK. Krap Foods just wanted to solve their own problems with Cadbury. Now Kraft could move all production of any Cadbury product out of Europe and in to China if moving production to Poland doesn't work out for them. I hope it doesn't happen though, I have never been so scared for the UK in my life.

@Chrizbubbz I'm American, I love Cadbury chocolate, and I HATE Kraft Foods! Those greedy bastards want Cadbury just to move all production to China (that's where a lot of American stuff, I think even Kraft's products come from nowadays). I feel very sorry for the United Kingdom that they lost the last bit of pride they had. Cadbury was british for over 100 years, and it should STAY that way. IMHO, we Americans need to keep our hands off British companies.

I work for krap foods and yes they are all about profits those greedy bastards. Keebler full-time has company cars free gas for it. Krap foods full-time?! No car, only sales reps. They won't even hire full-time so there a lot of part timers like 30 to 6. How shady!
