  • Brilliant, and truly unique. She's so un-packaged it's refreshing. Her critics are always the same people whose thinking patterns have been laid out for them by mainstream media. I guess if you're a puppet or a clone, everything Tori Amos says must sound like a foreign language, but to those of us who can still hear clearly, she speaks and sings nothing but pure truth.

  • She's not a ruse, she's a genius.

  • Tori is just as AMAZING now as she was in High School when she sang in Georgetown on the weekends. Her style of music may have changed with the times, but her talent has not -- she's still AMAZING... :-) And, there's only one (1) thing that's more amazing than her voice and that's her HEART!!! She cares about everyone in the world, including the people that don't like her...

RMHS 81, we still love you Ellen (oops), Tori...

  • @jenniferchocolat Little Earthquakes - Boys For Pele were three solid albums.

  • Tori ... my love .. simply amazing!

  • @amuse4god i don't disagree with you but why are you attacking me? i'm simply pointing out that tori has made me get in touch with my feminine side. i like tupac too.

  • @wunderbeast Why does ying or yang have to be part of anything regarding music? The love of sound, beauty, smell, touch, are not controllable. My eldest brother is a Tupac freak. If it ain't Tupac, or at the very least, hip-hop, he's not interested. One day Madonna's 'Ray of Light' was on the tv while he was napping and the song was so powerful, it carried to his senses. He admitted to liking the song a lot, and trust me Madonna is ridicule worthy where he comes from and hangs out. Get my point?

  • I guess it's normal to wish for days of old. I just get so exasperate when I hear her old fans wishing for the 'old Tori'. They are not the same, so why do they expect her to be. Truth is, if she were still the same, unchanged-by-living, Little Earthquakes-Tori, they'd decry her inability to grow, as her fans have grown. It is also normal to outgrow certain musicians. Perhaps that's what u guys have done, and that's fine, just stop wishing for Janet J. or Mariah C: unchanged!

  • @farmboycarl couldn't agree more. also there's this bullshit concept that you can't be a healthy straight male and like her music. i suspect that has a lot to do with the mainstream thinking patterns you speak of. ever since i started seeing an analyst, i've been trying to look past these superficial notions of gender division and that we all have the masculine and feminine piece, sort of like ying and yang.

  • well said tori

  • @IrishSpade *snicker* oh, you poor, poor child. XD

  • @jenniferchocolat I think the same...
