I built this windmill with stuff I had around the shop. It took about 2 days"ish". The blades were made from PVC, the alternator will be re-wound for windmill application. It probably will be turned into a PM alternator. The tail is a auto- furling design that will turn the blades away from the wind during high winds to slow it down. (although it would be fun to watch it self destruct in high winds).

  • I installed the turbine in a new area and used a windblue alternator and a two blade rotor. Much better for the rpm's, and great voltage. Check out my micro windfarm on youtube
