Let's Play SoulCalibur II #18 - The Student Surpasses The Master

In this episode of Let's Play Soul Calibur 2, Link quickly finishes up the last Berserker battle, who actually agrees to join up with outside of this quest, so he can choose Berserker to do his bidding in other game modes. (aka unlockable) Afterwards, he continues to journey to places that he has already cleared, triumphing over challenges old and new until he finds his own teacher, Edgar, the Samurai of Fire. Will Link be able to best his mentor (as if the title didn't make it obvious)? Find out in this video!

i didnt unlock bereserker when i fought him (the boss i mean), did i do anything wrong?

You have to beat this dungeon in both normal and extra mode. Once you do that, you should unlock Berserker.
