Often over-looked 'country-folk' tune by Gordon Lightfoot - was a big favourite of Elvis'. First issued on the 'Elvis-Now' album in 1972

  • Who plays lead-guitar?? Its not James burton on lead here.

  • It features John Wilkinson on Rhythm Guitar, James is there too but its Johns spotlight song during Elvis' band introductions

  • My Uncle was in the army with Elvis. And when they were in Germany, my uncle was on the phone with his girl friend. And he asked Elvis to speak to his girl...which he did...she never forgot it... Elvis was a good and decent person.

  • I've always wanted to see someone interview the girl at 1min. & 10 seconds who is obviously crying about what she see's in Elvis during this performance. I think she has a premonition of what is coming . I've seen her before during the CBS video of Elvis' last show's & it is very disturbing to see how she reacts to Elvis when he steps on stage. Well it's water under the bridge now but I along with millions of others miss this guy very much too. Thanks for sharing this video !!

  • Bieber don't like rain

  • I've always prefered Elvis's version to any but it's more like Dylans than Gordon Lightfoots.

"Pay attention J.D."..classic. R.I.P. both of them.

  • This video really shows the special caring person this man was. For him to thank John Wilkinson at the end of this number really shows what a special caring and simple person he was, and what a decent upbringing he must of had.

Never pretending to be anything more than a normal person always concerned for the feelings of others What a special person he must of been. May god bless you, always.

  • @hotdog1960 omg your so lucky!! lol

  • @hotdog1960 Yes you dont see a decent personality like that anymore in celebrities. Elvis was so kind and never lost his dignity as a human being when he made it big. He in my opinion was one of the most nicest ever in the music industry. such a great person!

  • Thanks!

  • never seen this Elvis version - thanks ! Excellent as always !

  • Love it!!!
