In no particular order of importance:

1. Glen Larson Productions - It catches you off guard. After the chiming jingle, you think that it's over with, except it's followed by a booming 20th Century Fox Television.

2. Stephen J Cannell Productions - I can't quite put my finger on this one. For some unknown reason, I find the music chilling.

3. John Charles Walters Production - Another one that you expect nothing to happen afterwards. A lady says "Goodnight Mr. Walters" and a guy responds with a grunt. After that, you then have the booming Paramount Television appear on the screen.

4. CBS Special Presentation - I guess they really want your attention. Jesus, the bright colors look like something a person in the electric chair would see as soon as they throw the switch. This is just as bad as the Viacom V of Doom, if not worse.

5. Mark VII Limited - The music makes you think something is going to happen at the very end. You embrace yourself, but nothing happens. The drum roll sounds like something you would hear during a public execution while the clanging sound is alerting those in the community to come gather in case they would like to witness it.

6. Weiss Global Enterprises - The humming sounds like someone getting electrocuted.

7. The Closet KIller - Nuff said.

8. Carson Productions - This one is a double whammy. The booming music from Carson Productions is enough to make you jump out of your seat if you have your speakers turned up, in addition to more booming music from MCA TV.

9. Starry Night Productions - Here you have a shooting star over a dark city skyline with a gloomy tune to it. And where exactly is that laugh supposed to be coming from? Some drunk wino in a back alley between one of those buildings? Creepy!

  • where is the Viacom V of Doom? Or the Dic logo? Am I the only one that finds that logo completely inappropriate and creepy?

  • @RaulUT801.....No, you're not the only person. Those two are very creepy, however I didn't mention them because those are a given. Most of the other clips on youtube already have them listed.

  • did u know that the beginning of the Mark VII Limited intro is used in one of cartoon networks production companies. i cant remember the name of it.

  • @TexanHeat1....Yes. You're thinking of Ghost Planet Industries/Williams Street Productions.

  • @Tehnoob9 Nope That's The Only One That Gave Me The Creeps

  • @TheNumber1trekkie That Weiss thingy makes me laugh XD

  • @majustice And the S from Hell.

  • I...... don't...... quite see what's so scary about these logos

  • Mark VII Limited was Jack Webb's own production company. Those are actually his hands that you see in the spot.

  • It's the kettledrums. Your logo isn't rockin' unless there's kettledrums.

  • 0:54 NOOOOO!

  • If you notice on the first one for Glen Larson productions it does state "in association with" underneath so you know there is one more company affiliated with it. Of all that were mentioned and I've never seen #6 but if I were a kid and saw the Weiss logo, that would scare the crap out of me. I wasn't afraid of any logos back then and why on earth is the DIC one scary with the little kid in their bed?

  • OK, first off Glen A. Larson Productions is a subsidiary of Universal, not Fox. Also, the Stephen J. Cannell Productions theme sounds too close to Universal's. And also, the MCA TV after Carson Productions is the video equivalent of a "bouncing Betty".

I would also note that the "Closet Killer" Paramount TV theme still freaks me out.
