The feature-length documentary The End of Poverty? won critical acclaim at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival and is narrated by actor Martin Sheen. It is a daring, thought-provoking and very timely documentary by filmmaker Philippe Diaz. The film takes a hard look at world poverty and challenges capitalism and the American way. In a world of plenty, why are so many families around the planet still living in abject poverty? Looking beyond the popular "solutions" for poverty, The End of Poverty? asks if the true causes of poverty today stem from a deliberate orchestration of resource misallocation started in colonial times.

No frustration here. I didn't contact anyone regarding questions about my own ideas to the misery that most of the world is experiencing due to this [monetary or evil conspirators] system. I am quite content of the facts regarding this reality. I have even centered on an approach not leaving it to "many alternatives" while much of the world is in agony. Your view is discussed in the movement but sadly such views don't get very far due to the overwhelming EVIDENCE offered against it.
Your frustration is misplaced. The monetary system is not what needs to be replaced. It is the system that controls that system. And I'm sure there are many alternatives much more practical than changing the entire worlds economy into resource based economy (which would produce more conflict)
I will take what you've stated as though you are sincere. The "movement" is what I will make it. Calling it names does not make much sense. You either see it or you don't. Most enslaved Africans didn't realize they were slaves. It was just 'the way things are.' The monetary system is bad because it reenforces bad behaviors [racism, war, etc.,]. Using money in THIS CONTEXT to right the wrong is no contridiction or conflict.
Do You have alternatives? Or is this[SLAVERY] system BLISS for you?
that "movement" is mildly retarded and has no basis in reality whatsoever, as is everything about zeitgeist dont you think its funny that they tell you monetary economy is bad, and on their website they have a store and donate section. Its a scam. They give absolutely no practical details about a resource based economy. its beyond a pipe dream
it seems like you want to find fundamentalism with fundamentalism as in a total death struggle. In such case you become no different than your enemy.
we already had those types of conflicts in the past. totalitarian views of the world do not offer practical solutions. beside the world cannot be reduced to a black and white scenario, it seems to me that it is more complicated than that.
so you just want to approve the (failing) idea of letting the poor breed uncontrolled with the help of OUR money just because we are supposed to feel sorry for them? We have limited resources: what's the logic in feeding the problem if it means we ALL suffer in the end because someone said we should keep on giving undeserved aid to those that shouldn't get it, don't deserve it but keep on breeding us all out of existence. It should stop somewhere. Solution: start with the REAL problem.
Where are you getting your ideas, Flingwing? How did you arrive at the thought that fighting poverty and helping the poor means letting them breed uncontrollably? Your analysis of the problem is too naive. Have you even considered that the problem of resource management may not be a zero-sum game? Please study the problem well before suggesting any solution. Do not swallow everything the conservatives tell you. Think out of the box, please.
no conservative preaches to me, I think for myself. I can observe, analyze and make up my own mind. The only faction nobody should listen to is LIBERALISM, who ARE the problem. They want me to care for the problem, not fix it. Eradicate the PROBLEM, and the symptoms will go away. It's called LOGIC, and liberals lack it. I don't even vote, that's how I disagree with the system. I decide for myself. Everybody should, and eventually they'll agree with me. You know it. Get some exposure in Africa...
