fair enough. i am too uptight about my desires for accuracy sometimes. it is frustrating to me though. on the upside, these guys look pretty good.

i'm glad this was done at a state park. NPS requiring MODERN WELDING GLOVES?!?! PLASTIC FACE SHIELDS for misfire drill!??! as if welding gloves will keep your hand from being blown off if you do something stupid. the drill manuals are written with safety in mind. the weapons may be primitive compared to modern day, but their brain cell count wasn't lower. maybe NPS should make the lanyard 30 yards long and have the detachment lie down when the gun is fired.

At 0:35 it sounds like some shot a car.

Always nice to converse with a gentleman.
Best wishes on your musical pursuits.

Not to quash the enthusiasm of your rant, but this was, in fact, done on private property rather than state or federal land.
Perhaps your needs for accuracy do not coincide with the Park's mandate to protect all visitors, including living history interpreters.
Lighten up, that and a long lanyard will keep you healthier.
cheers!
