i was a bit disappointed that there wasn't actually a 18 string bass, but the surprise of how great the music actually surpassed that

two remarks. (1) when i listen to this on my car stereo (regular subaru impreza) the moment @1:08 the second bass seems to open up --- wowoweewa!!! blows you right back, what a TRIP soundscape wise. what an ingenious and enjoyable piece!! (2) due to disability i play bass left handed only - so i do watch with great interest how you work your first (second?) string with your left hand starting after @1:49 .. not just that it sounds sustained, but there is a structure in sustain/decay. GAWD!!!

Do you use any effects on the 7 string? And do you add a high F or a low F# when going from a 6 to 7 string bass?
