I personally think this game gets pretty stupid at this level. I quit after I failed at beating that one girl.

Yeah, Red Steel 2, from the demo I watched on IGN looked ridiculously mindless and stupid, but I'm hoping once you get out of the beginning and into the actual game that it gets more serious.
And I bought this game back when the system released, so however much it cost new.

shame that the red steel 2 is more about sword fighting. i ´just love to shoot in this game. BTW how much did you buy this ? i got it with 20 euros

By training at the dojo between missions.
The more respect points you've gotten during the game, the more training you can do.

Look for a pattern in her weak/strong attacks and only attack when she's off balance from a parry or after dodging a fierce blow if you're confident you can get her before she recovers to a neutral stance.
