I admired him in The Great Escape, Cincinnati Kid, Papillon, Bullitt and love his collaborations with the great Peckinpah, I could watch the intro of The Getaway over and over, the cinematic composition is just marvellous!

McQueen evokes two strong memories: I watched Tom Horn as the last film in my local theater before they sadly closed their doors. Later in prison I saw Great Escape one evening (I was in sc!) while doing my cell walking routine.
